Technical Specifications

AGT Natura Line Board Design

Due to the composition and construction of the product, as well as the extremely hard-wearing and non-toxic aluminum oxide protection layer on the surface, trouble-free cleaning and maintenance is well within reach.

General daily maintenance only requires sweeping or vacuuming to remove any loose dirt.
Use a damp mop with plain water to clean. Avoid excessive amounts of water. If a spill occurs, soak up the liquid promptly.
Floor polish or wax are unable to penetrate the surface of the floor and are not recommended.
Stubborn stains like grease, tar, mud, shoe or nail polish etc can be spot cleaned with Finfloor special cleaning agents.
While Inovar Floor is highly fade-resistant, stain-resistant, impact-resistant, burn-resistant as well as very scratch- resistant, it is still possible that you may end up with an unintentional scratch when some extremely sharp or very heavy furniture is accidentally dragged across. For peace of mind, please use felt pads on the legs of furniture to prevent such incidents.
Frequently accessed areas / entrances should be protected with a suitable doormat (of sufficient size) to keep away coarse dirt, grit and stones.
Furniture legs should be protected by felt pads or plastic caps.
When moving heavy furniture lift it and do not drag it across the floor.
Put UV filter/sheer/curtain/blinds on windows in areas where there is direct exposure to sunlight.

UV LACQUERED FLOORS

Maintenance of UV lacquered floors

The Woodline Parquetry UV lacquer coating is scratch resistant and easy to maintain.

Doormats inside and outside entrances prevent dirt and grit that cause unnecessary wear to the floor.

Protective pads on furniture and chairs will assist in avoiding marks and scratches on the surface of the floor.

Normal cleaning
Use a broom to sweep or vacuum cleaner to prevent dirt, dust or grit from scratching or dulling the surface.

When necessary, the floor can be cleaned with a damp (well-wrung) cloth. Add a few drops of a mild detergent to water. Never splash water on a wooden floor!

Spills or spots must be wiped up immediately with a damp cloth.
Spots must be removed as soon as possible with a mild detergent.

Repairing
A scratch or crack in the floor can be repaired with putty. A deep scratch can be puttied several times if left to dry between applications.

All Woodline Parquetry flooring can be sanded several times. This should only be done by a professional.

UV OILED FLOORS

Maintenance of UV Oiled Wood floors

Oil treated floors offer you a very special finish and create a beautiful and natural living environment. In order to maintain the beauty of your oil finished floor, it is especially necessary to care correctly for the floor right after installation. With the right care, the oiled floor will become increasingly easy to clean and more hard wearing.

Doormats inside and outside entrances prevent dirt and grit that cause unnecessary wear to the floor.

Protective pads on furniture and chairs will assist in avoiding marks and scratches on the surface of the floor.

After installation care
Woodline Parquetry UV-oiled flooring is pre-finished with UV-oil from the factory and is ready for use in
both domestic and commercial areas. We recommend to clean the floor immediately after installation, with soap.

Normal cleaning
For daily cleaning, sweep or vacuum. For dustier floors, clean with a well wrung damp cloth regularly. When cleaning oiled floors, soap is added to the water (1/8 ltr soap into 5 ltr lukewarm water).
The soap has two functions: it cleans the floor and at the same time forms a protective soap film on the floor making the surface more resistant.

Tips
Always work with two buckets of water – one with soap water and one with clean water for rinsing the mop or cloth.

If you use a special cleaning or care product (water based wax agent) for oiled floors, please test the product on a small, less visible area of the room. Some products may not be compatible with the oil finish.

Whenever applying cleaning and care products to your floor, always ensure no standing water is left behind. This can damage your flooring (swelling).

Maintenance Oil
After a certain period of use, the oiled floor may look slightly worn and matt. Maintenance oil may be used. This should be done by a professional.

Lasting beauty can be achieved through purchasing a quality floor covering and providing proper on-going maintenance. Please follow the recommendations in this guide to retain the fresh look and protect the floor finish.

  • After installation, we recommend a first cleaning to remove any loose dirt or debris that may have been caused during installation. Also, in order to protect the floor surface from walked in abrasive dirt and debris we recommend the use of an effective barrier system to limit the amount of moisture, dirt and grit that may enter the area, by using a good walk on/off mat.
  • Check any new cleaning agent on a small test patch of the floor in an inconspicuous area.
  • Avoid using harsh cleaners or any cleaner with an ammonia base.
  • Furniture should be moved onto the newly installed floor using an appliance hand truck over hardboard runways, or pulled on towels/blankets into position and be fitted with felt pads to protect your flooring surface.
  • Avoid exposure to long periods of direct sunlight. Close blinds or drapes during peak sunlight hours. Floor covering subjected to excessive heat and light is subject to thermal degradation. Use appropriate precautions to protect the floor.
  • Natural ventilation or intermittent air conditioning in vacant/holiday homes should be used.
  • Oil or petroleum-based products can result in surface staining. Do not track asphalt-driveway sealer or automobile-oil drips onto the vinyl floor covering.
  • Use non-staining mats. Rubber will discolour the floor or cause it to turn yellow.
  • Frequently moved furniture should be equipped with felt pads to avoid scratching the floor. Heavy furniture and appliances should be equipped with non-staining large surface floor protectors. Furniture with castors or wheels must be easy swivelling, large surface non-staining and suitable for resilient floors. Do NOT use ball type castors as they can damage the floor. For office chairs soft-wheeled castors must be used.
  • Use felt floor protectors under furniture.
  • Do not allow pets with unclipped nails to damage your flooring. It may result in severe scratching to the surface. The same is true for any high/stiletto heeled shoes that do not have proper tips on the heels.
  • Sweep or vacuum the floor regularly to remove loose dirt. Do NOT use vacuums that use a beater bar or turn beater bar off.
  • Do NOT use electric brooms with hard plastic bottoms with no padding.
  • Clean up spills immediately.
  • Micro mop (damp) as needed using clean water and a diluted floor cleaner. Do NOT use harsh cleaners or chemicals on the floor. Do NOT use abrasive scrubbing tools. Do NOT use detergents, abrasive cleaners or “mop and shine” products.
  • Vinyl Flooring, like other smooth floors, may become slippery when wet. Allow time for the floor to dry after washing. Immediately wipe up wet areas from spills, foreign substances or wet feet.
  • If your floor has been exposed to excessive amounts of water due to flooding, do not panic, Diamond Core is waterproof. Simply remove the water as quickly as possible. A humidifier should be promptly turned on in the room to reduce the moisture levels back to normal. Do not dry the room to below the normal moisture
    level that existed previously.
